Super Duper insanely durable plush toys??!!

Aight. I'm at a loss. Capote and Taylor LOOOVVVEE their plushies. They loooovvvee the stuffing right on out of them..and all over the kitchen.. and down the hall.. and sooner or later I find a chewed up squeeker as well.

I've tried everything. Bigger plushies. Those..animal looking ones at petsmart. Those Kong Wubbas.. those ones that actually SAY 'durable' on them. Those disc things with the stitching around the edges (they go for the stitching first..) if there's even a lil ear or paw or something small enough they'll knaw it off and pull all the stuffing out of it. The kong wubba's look like frayed fabric.. it's ridiculous..and pet toys aren't cheap! ..they don't give a darn about rubber stuff; they sit unplayed with. I'm seriously glad they reserve it for their plushies and not my shoes but I'm tired of having to replace toys.. at about 5 bucks each (on the less expensive side) it's not cheap.. Anyone else have Hav's that can chew through kevlar?? If so..what do you give them???

Hi Mindy,

Murphy doesn't chew the stuffings out of his stuffed animals but several months ago I bought two boxes of pipsqueaks and a box of barnyardbuddies. For months Murphy would just toss them around and play normally with them. Several weeks ago he discovered how to open the velcro and remove the voice box. Now he has the voice box out of the pipsqueak within minutes of me giving one to him. He wont play with them without the voice box but when I put the voicebox in he takes it out. These little neezers are just way to smart for their own good.

What about the Skineez toys with no stuffing? Scooter and Murphy "kill" everything too, stuffing is always on the floor but they like the Skineez toys too. No stuffing to pull out.

Gund makes some that really are built tough. They are small animals and make authentic sounds. We have an elephant that sounds like .... well you know.

I also like to use toys built for big dogs, it doesn't stop my havs from grabbing them for a tug of war. Rope toys are really good too, but the favorite is socks from the laundry basket.

Mine will play with the "flat" type toys as well, but I've found that Doc loves the smaller stuffed toys like Zanies or other little squeak toys. He carries them around forever. The ears might disappear, but otherwise, they just get nasty. He destroyed the bigger, stuffed toys but these he just "treasures". He takes them outside to potty, leaves them, rings the bell to go back out because he forgot it, hides them in his bed, throws them around, makes sure nobody else has them...etc. They are only about three or four inches long and have a squeaker....last forever here......

As you can see, these toys aren't perfect! One is missing ears, the other legs. The little lamb is ready to retire, but it's his favorite. It was just a no-name one I picked up somewhere and can't seem to find to replace. The poor thing doesn't have stuffing, voice, limbs, etc., and you can see through his little head! LOL.
In the other picture, Doc is very upset that I have all his little friends out of his reach and concerned about their well-being.....

Abby isn't too rough on her toys - mostly just tosses them around. But, while we're on the subject of toys - does anyone have a good source for pipsqueaks that don't charge an arm & a leg for shipping? Abby LOVES her donkey (thanks, Ann!). He washed up very well in the washer, too!

Mine are pretty good with their toys. They don't pull the stuffing out and I also have the ones with no stuffing. The only mishap is an occassional tear because of the tugging games.
