Food

Hi everyone,

I was wondering what type of food you use. My pups are on their 4th food in 6 weeks and I think this one is the best. I have even tried the minimal "natural" food. Some made them vomit, loose stools, or they were going constantly. I would appreciate some feedback.

Thanks,
Trudy

My Beamer has been on raw since he was 6 months old (2 years) and has done very well on it! Many other dogs are also raw feeders on this forum. Check it out!

That's a lot of change in a short period of time, probably why their tummies were upset. I don't do raw, just can't stomach it. There's a great website that has lots of info and ratings on food, check out www.dogfoodanalysis.com for more.

My dogs are on BG Buffalo kibble mixed with BG Chicken or Turkey canned. I put fish oil on their breakfast each day as well. Be careful with the treats you buy and read the ingredients.

I didn't realize there was so much info about dog foods!!! Who knew???

Keep in mind when changing foods, it should be done slowly over the course of 5-10 days. If you are changing foods that often, no wonder their stomachs are upset. Use the link provided above and find a 5 star rated food and go from their. You way want to start with Orijen and stick to it for at least a few weeks.

Chances are if your parents never had kids...you won't either...
