Special Thank You-Quilt

I wanted to thank everyone who generously donated to the quilt drawing. We appreciate your support of the quilt project.

Special Thank You to Yung who posted the quilt up on the front page and gave it the extra advertising it needed. A Huge Thank You to Leeann...OMG....I could not have did this without you! You are so knowledgable, helpful and a "hop to it" type person, that without you,I'd hate to imagine how this would of went.Thank you Kara for stepping up to help even when it was difficult for you personally to do at times and with your busy schedule. Your help was deeply appreciated.

The quilt block makers--You are all very special to me and always will be. Thank you for volunteering to make a second block on a whim and a prayer!

Thank you all for being so receptive and kind about my little boy doing the drawing. He is quite a guy and very unpredictable..and my heart is full seeing how you all have embraced him and he really did enjoy doing it.

Many of you know how stressful the quilt project can be to me personally because of the financial requirements to finish a quilt. I can make lots of blocks, but it takes $ to finish a quilt top.

It is with absolute "DELIGHT" that I announce to you the outcome of the FR quilt. That darling quilt raised 1046.97 for the Havanese Quilter's Fund which will pay for Bloomin going to HRI next year and pay for the finishing of at least 2 more quilts after that! I am so thrilled and so proud of how we all came together,no matter what differences there may/may not be,to support the quilt project.

Thank you all so very very much!

I can't even guess as to how much work is involved here. Hat's off to you and your elves, Julie. What a worthy cause to say the least.

Way to go!!!!! Just another great example of what a terrific place the forum is. You all did a great job and Laurie is getting a beautiful quilt. And because of the money donated, HRI will continue to benefit from future quilts.

Great job to everyone involved in making those gorgeous quilts! Special thanks to Julie who works so hard year round getting it all together and ready to present to some lucky winner!

Congratulations again, Laurie - wish I lived in your area so I could "visit" the quilt!

Isn't this just wonderful? I am so very proud of what we all have achieved. I have had many of you for all 5 quilts and we really have raised alot of money for those dogs coming into rescue plus had fun too!

I know for me..I was afraid the quilt project may have to end with the forum split and all.....but.....we had made a fund raiser quilt as 1 forum and come hel_ or high water,I wanted to make it available to ALL of us-no matter which you were on or not on or both or whatever....and we did exactly that. I could not be more proud of the members of both HF and HT for coming together for this fund raiser quilt and for all the help with the donations and time and all the hard work from everyone.

I am confident that all "Havanese Quilters" are pleased and say a collective "THANK YOU".

There is no better people then havanese people.....there really isn't....together we can achieve so much. This is proof of that. I love you all--
