Any other new ideas?
I will be narrowing the themes down and the quilters will be voting soon. Quilters--expect an email from me next week.

I have a few I think will be all be good choices. I am going to think them all through tomorrow on a long drive to and from a doctor's appointment w/my little man.

I expect to get an email out to everyone by this weekend actually. I hate to not move quickly and have the cost of fabric go sky high. YIKES!!!

Julie, How about Holiday Havs or Havs on Holiday?
First one of course would be a hav with a St. Pat's theme, Easter theme, etc.
Havs on Holiday could be Havs at a spa, Havs on a cruise, Havs skiing, Havs in Paris, Havs in Switzerland,....another way of having fun. I just saw this thread, and you already have some great ideas here!

I like that HAVS on HOLIDAY too, it almost covers it all. You could have the Havs in Paris, Alaska,Italy, Hawaii,on a cruise, skiing, boating, at the beach, fishing, in Monet's gardens wherever. The Havs could be in any costume, and it could be any season of the year, so it would give almost everyone a chance to express their themes..There would be a variety of seasons and costumes I think and you would not have to put lettering on to identify places.
(I know it covers a lot of ideas plus mine.:-} )

This is like the theme "Have Hav Will Travel". We have some "kinks" in this idea that need to be worked out before we can do it in a formal way. It has been a couple years now we have discussed this theme and eventually we will get to this quilt I hope. It is a theme that excites people intially and then after they think about it more, scares them. I guess I would currently say it is not "newbie friendly" and until I really get a solution this will probably not go up for vote. Well-I know it won't this year for sure. A watered down version of this theme is the Havanese on the Go we currently are voting on.That quilt for all intensive purposes could be this quilt and still be newbie friendly. A person could have your havanese with the Effiel Tower in the background on a bike with a tam or something.

Kara is right--many of these themes intertwine with each other and spin offs and adaptations are made as we roll along.

Hopefully everyone will get their votes in and guidelines can be made so we can all go fabric shopping!
