New Quilt Theme Idea?

Do you have a new quilt theme idea?

Last year-we voted on these:

Toy Time Quilt--havs and their favorite toys
It's Bloomin Havanese! -havs and flowers, wearing, eating, laying in etc.
Lovin Care Quilt--anything pertaining to caring for a havanese
Havanese on the Go--havanese in modes of transportation-trains,planes,bikes etc.
Hobby Havanese-havanese doing human hobbies-sports,knitting,sewing,etc.
Favorite poses Quilt--a hav taken from one of your favorite photos

We had other ideas, but voted as a forum on these--and then the quilters voted themselves.

Any new ideas?

How about world travelling havs, with some identifying object of a state, country, whatever.

Chicken herding.

CHICKEN HERDERS

In Cuba, it is told that they herded chickens. So maybe they were at the country houses of the aristocracy, says Klumb. Her own Havanese tend to herd a small flock of Rhode Isl! and Reds she and her husband Bill keep in Lexington, Va.

OK, here is my idea.
Home Sweet Home or There's No Place Like Home. Could do a Hav with a house - any kind of house - dog house, a representation of your actual house, your 'dream' house, whatever.......

or

Sweet Dreams - Havs in their favorite sleeping places or positions.....

I know this is going to sound crazy...but it just entered my head a little bit ago,and the more I think about it,the more fun I think it could be.

A "lickie" quilt----all havs with tongues showing/ doing the silly things they do...heavy panting after a RLH, giving an ear lickie, licking a treat , licking a foot, giving a kiss , licking snow etc. Anything they do with a tongue or have their tongue sticking out.

This theme pops up every year or a version of it.....originally it was "Have Hav will Travel" after one of Marj's photo challenges (my favorite one by the way :P ) but we seem to hit problems with it every time.

After much thought...(I have actually wanted to do this one for years) I just don't see a way to do it without some issues popping up. First-lettering. If everyone used the same lettering, that'd be cool--but that is unlikely if not impossible and the outcome of varied lettering,is very unappealling. Then recognizing what it is. The Effiel Tower, skyline of New York,Statue of Liberty, etc. many thought would be very difficult. Then we talked about states...a hav representing a state..example would be....Iowa is known as the tall corn state and has lots of hog farmers. A hav on a hog with corn? Georgia would be a peach? Etc. The temptation of lettering reigns supreme once again. We did evolve this theme into a travelling theme.....that is the transportation one. This could be very similar, but without the desire to throw in letters. For some reason last year it got very few votes. :-( I was disappointed in that actually. It could be fun--a hav in a plane, train, car, tractor, lawn mower,bike...scooter etc...anything that takes you from point A to point B. Just think of that really------a jet ski,a surfer,a hav golfer in a golf cart,a go cart, a ski lift, a school bus, taxi,.....gosh---if I name enough do you think we could talk people into it???

They actually DO have a herding instinct, I've seen Gucci try to herd chickens at Hunt Club Farm (this local place where you can go look at farm animals and they have carnivals and such, dog friendly place) and she herds our guests at our hav playdates.. Not sure how to translate that into a quilt block, but its quite clever, nonetheless!

also....We could do a dinnertime theme, sleepy-time theme, course' I like the toy theme and the location theme....
