Julie is your block appliqued? How are they quilted? Did you do the paper applique? In other words how did you set it together and how will the quilt be quilted. I don't have the talent to do Rosie, but I could applique--that is if I can still hold a tiny quilting needle.

This particular technique Lucile is a fusible applique. We have people also use hand applique.

The quilt layout is not shown till all the blocks are in...I often have to switch it up,so I have several different possibilities worked out long before we actually even vote on a theme. It is machine quilted by a lady who lives south of me when I have it all done. I would love to have you join us Lucile! If you would like to join our group on facebook, please let me know and I will send you an invite.

We make a quilt each year to benefit Havanese Rescue (HRI). Tickets are sold and a drawing is held at the Havanese National. In 2013 I believe it will be in late July or early August in Chicago Illinois. You need NOT be present to win.

Blocks are due to me Nov.1st and so our new quilt will be under serious construction soon.

If you would be interested in joining us for our next quilt....just let me know.

* I should add: all the proceeds for this quilt are used to help pay medical expenses etc. to those havanese taken in by the rescue organization.

If you are interested in seeing past projects and conversation regarding them, do a search under forums and go to 'Quilt Projects'.

Also, here is a link to the forum and HRI quilt projects on the Havanese Rescue site.
