OMG, what a great idea. I have a tablet so doing that should be easy -- maybe.

I used the first 2 for my Fall Block and the last one out of Paige's thread for my 'springy' Hav in my Spring Block.

Maryam, I never saw what you did in that picture. I love it. Next year at quilt time, I will definitely look at my photos differently.

Oh the dog on Maryam's block is Preston jumping up with Axl. Take a look at the picture and Maryam's Spring block.

Maryam, I love what you did with the pictures that inspired you! Your blocks are unique. Last year, I used a block I'd found on the Net and some pics I'd taken of my Havs over the previous months. Eventually, I figured something out. lol It's true that once you start scribbling, drawing, throwing fabrics together, the ideas do come.

If not, that's what this thread is for! lol

Oh wow. I missed this thread. Really cute ideas! Perfect timing too, I need to draw out my block and get moving.

I looked at a ton of pictures last year, they do help a lot!

For inspiration, how about the photos here: http://www.havanese.org/hcaGallery.htm HCA has some amazing shots of Havs on their site.

That link(the HCA) has some great pictures to get inspiration from. I see our own Sully is pictured there. That's awesome!

I also wanted to tell you that if you find a drawing in a coloring book, often times those are about the right size. Great for using as patterns. Then as you kinda have your idea--when you are looking at fabrics-there are some adorable prints out there with things such as butterflies and flowers etc. These---if you are using the "wonder under" technique can be used to say----add a butterfly to your hav's nose or head etc. Just "fussy cut" them out, iron and sew. (Fussy cutting=cutting out the exact design in a fussy way)

This thread got buried--but now that alot of you maybe getting closer to starting and thinking of your quilt block-I wanted to pop this thread back up.

Inspiration/ideas is really all around you. From coloring books and books of all types to tv shows, photographs, your kids' art,and your own havanese--everywhere and everything actually.

I hope you have your ideas in place and will be starting soon.

Most of all----I hope you enjoy the process!
