Drawings and Inspiration for Quilt Blocks

I thought it might be a good idea to have a new thread with images, pictures and ideas to help everyone out with the quilt blocks they've volunteered to create for the Forum Quilt. Julie had some great ideas, but I'm worried they will get lost in that long thread about the Four Seasons Quilt and great advice will be missed.

Here are some pictures, drawings, blocks other people have made that might help some of us out. Julie was explaining how we could be inspired by coloring books as their images are often great for mixing patterns to create a unique look.

At this site: http://www.coloring.ws/dogs.htm you will find many coloring book images such as this one:

If anyone has drawings, ideas or anything to inspire those of us that might have a challenging time visualizing their block, please post! This thread could be a quick "library" of sorts of images and photos and we would still go to the original thread for technical questions. ...

I forgot to mention that some or all of these images are likely copyrighted, so please try to alter them in some way, if you choose to use them as an example for your block. I did that last year, but I now realize that I should have altered it even more.

Something I found on ebay was fabric already cut out in shapes.

This is a example of what I found. Just go to ebay and search for DIECUT FABRIC APPLIQUE QUILTING. They have alot of different things that could be used in a block.http://shop.ebay.com/items/_W0QQ_dmp...bric&_osacat=0

eBay also has Havanese appliques for sale that look like this:

I wish I could contribute to the quilt, but I don't know how to do it nor do I own a sewing machine. I like doing crafts, so maybe someday I will learn how to quilt. It looks like fun.

Ivy I don't own how to sew on a machine and I had never done anything in quilting before last year and I really enjoyed it. If you can sew a hem, you can make a quilt block. You should give it a try.

I just wanted to tell any of you interested that Maryam used photographs of her Pablo and drew her design/ideas from them. Check out the quilt thread---

This year's rescue quilt also featured a block from a photograph. It was Lu's block of Desi watching tv. You can see the block on the hav rescue site. It was also in the advertising of the rescue quilts. I just wanted to pass it on-----

Thanks for popping this thread up, Julie! Here are a few of my inspirations...
I used the first 2 for my Fall Block and the last one out of Paige's thread for my 'springy' Hav in my Spring Block.

I just wanted to add, that once you start drawing something/anything, you will make changes and the ideas will flow. I also put a sheet of paper on the laptop screen and just directly drew from the screen, if that makes sense.
