Laurie joined us for the first time this year. It was a real treat to have her draw out her design. YIPPEE!

I am looking forward to working with her again on our next quilt--

She titled her block "Joey's Smile" and says : designed to show my Joey, from my first litter, who was the happiest little boy- everything made him "smile".

Lovely stuff, Julie - I am SO sorry I'm so Facebook-silly that I am not a part of your group, forgive me. I'll crack it one day and try and come on board, I'd love to make something for you, as already discussed in PMs. Meantime, congratulations to all of the submissions!

Heather made this block....I thought it was clever she used one of her photos as inspiration for this quilt.

She calls it " Behind The Mask" and says " inspired by my Oskarka from a Halloween photo, I made my beautiful girl Oskarka peeking out from behind a butterfly mask.

Suzi joined our group recently and she is first time quilt block maker. I was delighted to see her embrace the designing stage and just "go for it". She did a lovely job and did this all by hand too!

She titled hers--" Fly Away" I started singing this song and thought it really fit my design .Butterflies Are free to fly. Fly away bye bye.La La La La La La La La.

Terri made this one.....Love her fabric colors! Terri is so much fun! Love her! My photo isn't the best, but see the little caterpillar? Too cute!

She says she was inspired by Pippa and how curious she is about anything that flies!!! She titled it " What's Fluttering-By?"

She titled hers: "Favorite Things." Puppy dog tails and butterfly wings, these are a few of my favorite things.

Flynn made this cute block.... Flynn's title and inspiration:
"The Pleasant Land of Counterpane"

inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson's "The Land of Counterpane", the quilt covering the two sleeping puppies reminds me of the Counterpane (quilt) from that poem. My Mother had a quilt like that, and whe I was sick she would read me that poem...I did not have soldiers, but I loved the comfort of that quilt. These two litte puppies are surrounded with the love and warmth of this quit covering them.

Isnt that cute?
