Flynn, the family and volunteers are getting out posters and checking local places but still no sightings. findtoto has also been contacted.

Something that everyone can do to help is pray for Charlie. His new parents must be devastated. Will keep you posted if anything comes up.

Excellent resource for finding a lost dog, lists all the things to do, some I had not thought of, hope this might be of help. I will pray too.

I've used FindToto and it was remarkable for me. My prayers go out to the family and the poor sweet soul whose fear no doubt caused him to bolt. God bless him and them in this ordeal.

There have been several sightings of Charlie today in the 400+ home subdivision. A man threw himself in front of the entrance today to keep him from getting out of the neighborhood so there are people watching out for the little guy. He is on the move! They are expecting that he will be tired and hungry so will be going out first thing in the morning again with lots of chicken, hot dogs and sausage to lure him in enough to grab the leash that he is still dragging. So, please keep up the prayers for Charlie and his family.

Charlie Update 7:30 pm Monday

Here is an update on Charlie as of last night.

The support from our volunteers, the Havie world and fellow rescuers is incredible and the prayers are working! There have been numerous, over a dozen sightings of Charlie all day. He is staying in the residential community of 400+homes, in fact one gentleman threw himself in the road at the entrance out of the development to divert Charlie this afternoon and redirected him back into the safety of the development. Of course Charlie was too frightened to allow capture. But, he is constantly on the move and will get tired. And hungry.

His mom and pop have been pounding the pavement since 7am and had just walked in the door at dark when I spoke to them and there was call of another sighting! Tonight they will put food and water and a blanket outside the door they used to bring Charlie in and out of the house. And go out again tomorrow with the chicken, the sausage and hotdogs. They know to lay down when they spot Charlie and to just talk gently to him, offering him food with the hope he'll approach close enough to get a hold on his leash which he is still dragging.

Keep the prayers flying out there for Charlie! And please crosspost to all of the lists, the forums, your friends and family to let them know the news we have so far, and thank you and thank them for all that everyone is doing.
Karen

Dave, like minds. I was just telling him it's okay. It's safe for him to go home. I feel as if I can see straight into his soul.

1-11-12 update

Here is the update as of this morning 1/11/12

No sightings yesterday. We really need people in the area to go door to door handing out posters, talking to people, if you live nearby can you please consider helping, even if it's just an hour or two.

And if you're too far away, keep the prayers flowing!

Karen

This little guy still really needs our prayers, and if you happen to live in or around the area they could really use your help to get this little guy back home safe and sound.

Charlie Missing in Plant City, FL

I cannot find the thread to Charlie, missing in Plant City, Fl...Kathie????
I thought it might be good to post it here so everyone would see it, since he is not really a rescue, but just missing....anyone heard anything about him? I am so worried, I have posted something on the Lowchen lists and the PWD list....mostly for prayers...one prayer coming from England for his safe recovery...

Flynn, thanks for starting another thread - I couldn't find it, either. There were no sightings Wednesday but two yesterday. There are some volunteers going out each day looking for him. There are several subdivisions and lots of wooded space between a couple of busy highways. If you live near Plant City in Florida and want to help, please PMl me and I will give you someone to contact who is trying to get together a more organized search in this wide area. If you can't help with the search they are asking for your prayers. Charlie has been gone for four days now. I'm sure he is tired, scared and very hungry by now. His owners had just adopted him from HRI the day before he pulled the leash from their hands and took off. I'm sure they are just devastated, too.

Kathie you had it in the Rescue part of the forums, so I merged the two threads so hopefully people don't get confused of with two threads :)

I sure hope they find and are able to catch this little guy, fear he must have and the anguish that family must feel too :(
Thoughts and prayers for Charlie.

Thanks, Heather, I thought you were the one who fixed it!!

Still praying and hoping the little guy is found soon. At least he's not in freezing weather although it is getting a little colder for the next couple of days.

Too much time has gone by. I wonder if someone has taken him in.

If they do FindToto, they call all the neighbors within a radius, depending upon which plan you choose. It gets the word out much faster.

This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
