puppy food and diarrhea

I am raising a litter of eight puppies and have been having problems with diarrhea. They've been to the vet, taken a course of antibiotics, still not completely well. I've been feeding Wellness puppy, and I'm starting to think it might be the food. Ready to try changing foods and thought I'd ask if anyone else has any thoughts. Thanks all!

Were they diagnosed with Giardia or coccidia in the fecal test? I went through this when I brought MiG home (giardia) and it was exhausting. If they were, it can take more than one round to clear it. I just want to say that MiG had a terrible reaction to Panacur and was deathly sick. This was after I had to rush him to the emergency vet. He was hypoglycemic and dehydrated from the diarrhea. The vet on call prescribed Flagyl and Panacur, which is a wormer- but also used to clear intestinal parasites, and sent us home. One dose and he became deathly sick-I was worried. I threw it out and continued the Flagyl. This was on memorial day and he's been free and clear for quite a while (but it took several weeks). Just a FYI to be careful if your vet goes that route. I had him on chicken and rice for a few weeks, then transitioned him to Wilderness. There was still loose stool during the transition, but it eventually cleared. Wellness puppy is good stuff, so maybe they need to get another fecal done with another round of flagyl. Whatever the problem is, I hope it clears up soon. I know it's exhausting.

Beth, Pixie Puff and MiG too

One pup had a spirochete, that was all they found. I think I'll try the rice and chicken and see if that helps. Thanks!

I've been using Wellness for my litter as well with no problems at all. I just wonder if you might be giving them too much at once. Sometimes this causes loose stools.

Possible, but they always seem ravenous and eat every bit. Momma dog is having some problems as well. Used to feed Blue Buff, didn't have problems but with such a large litter, thought this might be a better food.
