Huggie Wants Theo the Cat to Play.....

Huggie tries so hard to get Theo to play with him, but Theo doesn't trust him because every time he gets on the floor with him, Huggie pounces on him. Theo's a very mellow and tolerant cat and hasn't ever scratched any pets or people in all his thirteen years but I closely supervise them and take H away before Theo gets too scared. Hopefully, they'll be friends one day.

I didn't think it would take this long since our family has always included one or two dogs. Our American Eskimo, Lacey, who died in January just before her seventeenth birthday, used to totally ignore Theo even when he would walk by tickling her nose with his tail. Simon, our Cavalier who died two years ago was intimidated and used to run from Theo. Huggie's not scared of him.

Here are some photos of Huggie trying to get Theo to come down and play.

Too cute! You can tell that Huggie's saying "Aw, come on -- we'll have fun playing, I promise!"

Gosh - That looks like Snickers and Savanah. Snickers try's so hard to get Savanah to play, but "Queen Savanah" isn't impressed and the 'play date' usually winds up in a hissing - paw batting fit with Snicks chasing Savanah out of 'town'.

Like you we're still hopeful that they will become friends!

Cheers!

Cute pictures, my girls chase the barn cats down the path, not sure what would happen if the cats ever stopped.

Love the pictures - cats can be so blasé! I also love Clare's photo of kitty in a bowl!

So nice to see more ragdoll kitties. I have two ragdolls here. They learned to accept Brady, my first hav, pretty quickly. Once Dugan came along, they accepted him as well. They still have not adjusted to Cassie. She has been here 3 months or so. The cats spend most of their time in our basement. I make them come upstairs with me everyday, but they just seem to want to be in their own space. Cassie is not great with them. She was 2 1/2 when she came here, and has never been around cats before. She is fine when they are sitting still, but when they go to walk or run, she starts chasing and barking. I am not going to get discouraged though. It is a work in progress, but soon enough, they will all be friends! Here are a few older picture of Brady with my kitties.

Vinny and our Ragdoll were BFF's. Vinny used to drag the cat around all day. It did take a while for Arnold to get used to Vinny though.

I love all the pictures. I never heard of a ragdoll, now I have something new to look up. Clare, I love the colors in your house.
