Urinating issue//Worms

Hi all,

Two things have been going on lately that I'd like some advice on.

First, the past week or so Coco's urination habits have been changing. He is peeing less in the house (accidents or on the pad) which is great, but when we go out for walks he's starting to pee multiple times in small amounts. I also noticed that he doesnt have quite the urgency to go first thing in the morning as usual- usually I can barely get him out the door/to the pad in time but lately he's been able to hold it. Is this all normal puppy behavior or should I be worried about a bladder infection? He is 5.5 months and not neutered yet.

Next awesome thing that's been going on- Coco has roundworm. He threw up the other night and sure enough there was the evidence.... The vet recommended he go on 5 days of Panacur. He's getting his fifth dose tonight. This morning he pooped and I found a live one... does this mean the meds are not hitting it? Should get go on another course? Also, do I have to clean his toys/bedding more than usual? I literally know nothing about worms and don't know if the larvae can live outside the body in these materials so I'm sorry if these are ridiculous questions.

Thank you AS ALWAYS.

I would give your vet a follow-up call to get his advice first and foremost. As far as the peeing "method". Usually urinary infections cause the dog to go more often without being able to hold it. It sounds to me like he is starting to "mark" since he is not neutered. Still, if your vet has already seen him, it would be worth a call to get more advice. Good luck.

talk to your vet, it could just be marking but with worm issues listen to your vet.
