I get my puppy this weekend!

My fiance and I are so excited, we get to bring out new family member home this weekend. We are both animal lovers, but this is the first dog for the both of us. I found a wonderful breeder through a close friend. We will be meeting all of the puppies, but I hope one of the males picks us. I already have a name picked out, Matteo. Any suggestions for a new puppy shopping list? Thanks so much!

I am so jealous! We get to meet our puppy this weekend but he won't be ready to come home yet. Have fun with your new furbaby!

Only a few more days...it's almost like Christmas with the excitement building up, isn't it? Not a lot you will need in the first week or two. A small crate, some pads, food, water, collar and leash. They mostly sleep. potty, eat, potty, play, potty in that order and it starts all over again. There seems to be a lot of things Cicero (or I) needed after a couple of weeks...like toys, toys, toys and a boat load of grooming supplies. Boy, can people on this forum tell you things to get. You are at a great place for tips and info. Okay...what did can I expect to see a cute puppy picture?

You certainly don't want my advice on a shopping list, or so my husband says.. I'm sure whatever is meant to be will be, if you fall in love with a girl, you could call her Matteah

Dave is a great resource. I'm sure you'll find his links enormously helpful.

It's getting close now. Only a few more days.

So, I spent way too much money at PetSmart. I got a brush, crate, training pads, food, food/water bowls, collar, leash, Kong toy...and few other most likely unnecessary items...what can i say? i got excited. Thanks for the links Dave, they were very helpful!
