Guard dog!!!

At 5 months Smarty has decided she is a guard dog. She notices every sound, barks like crazy and turns to make sure I am right behind her. She is so brave.

LOL I think it is so funny how they always have to make sure you are there.. Riley actually barks then runs at me and jumps at me and off my legs and back to whatever he is barking at. like come on mom hurry up we got to go see what that noise is.

I have one of those!

But my husband *trained* her to be a watchdog and she is WONDERFUL at it, she really digs protecting us, and alerting us. She will bark before someone even rings the doorbell, and even when she hears the kids come home at night, when we are sometimes already in bed (which is great!)

But, other than that, she doesn't bark much. So when she does bark, I know someone is here. It's very cool!

Go SMARTY!!!

Makes you feel all safe and loved, ehh?

That is exactly what she does. My DH said she must have just starting hearing. All the sounds have been there. That is why we put in the new photo, she is a big girl now.

How cute, Sandi! Everyone needs a Hav guard dog!

My husband thinks though that if we had an intruder, after the dogs barked a bit, they'd then give the intruder kisses and roll over for belly rubs....

Ehh..Gucci will watch US to see how we react.

One time, it was a magazine salesman that *I* was really leary of, and she sensed that immediately and started barking and growling at him! I doubt he was very intimidated, but nonetheless....she didn't roll over for a rub! yipee.

I've noticed that when I take Marvin out at night, he goes crazy when someone walks down the sidewalk, or hears a dog barking in the distance, or a car. He's kind of noisy. He's just 11 weeks!
