OMG! I think Jack just peed in Nessie's crate!

Nessie is not happy with our new little addition. The warning growls have lessen when we are outside or going for walks but inside... the territorial disputes still are occurring.

I am keeping them separated as the trainer told me.

But I just saw Jack go into Nessie's crate, pause, and come back out very pleased with himself. She is outside in the pouring rain. I can't tell if he did anything because everything is wet. I threw her bed in the wash.

Ack! He just pulled the cat off the ottoman - by its tail!!!

It is Day of EVIL Jack!

TTFN,
Pam

God made puppies cute to offset the devilment they get into.

Bet that won't happen too often, unless your cat is declawed!!

Bazinga is the oddest cat we have ever had. I think he is a dog/cat hybrid. Absolutely no fear of dogs. He is alpha. After Jack yanked him off the ottoman, they played/wrestled.

Nessie, on the other hand, hates Jack. Lots of growling and teeth. I feel as if I am living in a war zone or an ex-pen.

sigh.. it has only been a week.

most adult dogs dislike puppies.

they are doing well outside.

our walks together are snarling and teeth-free.

it is a matter of time and patience....

Yes, I am a little stressed today. Minor meltdown.

Pam

I imagine it's no fun playing referee! I'm sure in time things will settle down but I know it doesn't make you feel any better right now!!! You can come here to rant - we will listen!

Ehh, its probably like having kids, some days they won't get along and get on each other's nerves But they are still working out the pack order and it sounds like it may take a bit longer if more than one has their eyes on top 'dog' or 'cat'

Hang in there! OR drink WINE!!

It is hard to top a "puppy pleased with himself" look on the cuteness meter!

although cats are cute when they are sitting on a table up high thinking... "The pup can't get me. Ha Ha - I am way up high" Meanwhile their tail is swishing back and forth in full reach just tempting the pup like crazy.

Everyday a little progress is made. Keep up hope

I don't think any of us who have more than one has not had a moment (or many) of asking ourselves WTH we were thinking. I remember it with every one I added. As a matter of fact, there are days when I still think I must have suffered from temporary insanity when I made the choice. It does get better. Give it a little time.
