Introducing Picasso!!!

I've been lurking here for a while and have even managed to post a response or two but it is time to officially introduce ourselves!

My name is Deborah and my five month old puppy is Picasso! I started off on this board a few months ago but I suppose because it was during the change of board ownership, I didn't get approved right away and ended up on the other board. I meant to get back here but you know how it is with a new puppy.

Picasso has been with me now for about six weeks I. Overall, he is a really great puppy but, no surprise, he is a puppy! As I sit here typing this post, to my right is the newly cleaned carpet that Picasso thought was grass! It is sitting on three stools to dry and will probably get put away for a while.

We are currently living down here in Costa Rica having moved a year ago from Arizona.

I want to thank all of you for posting the information you have over the years. It was unbelievably useful for me when compiling all the things I needed to bring down here for Picasso.

I'm attaching a couple of shots of Picasso from a little trip we made last week to the University of Peace.

Glad to finally meet you all!

Welcome! Picasso is absolutely adorable. I love his hanging tongue because it makes him look so happy-go-lucky. Sounds like he might be a June baby like my Eli and Tammy's Tillie.

HI Deborah and (formally) to the forum!! Now that things are all settled down, we're glad you are joining our family!!

Picasso.....now, if he isn't the cutest puppy!! What a face, how can you say no? lol

Puppies will be pretty high maintenance, some..more so than others, but lots of fun and a learning experience for even the most prepared Havmom

nice to meet you

Kara

Oh, it is so good to meet all of you officially!

Evelyn, you asked about living in Costa Rica. First, I'm ready for it to stop raining! It has been something like six months of rain nearly every single day. I was loving the rain but now I want it over. It hasn't helped with Picasso's housebreaking either. Rain every day is tough, especially for a boy who wants to go out to potty. The evening after I brought Picasso home, we had a sinkhole in the street immediately outside my home. That was the beginning of three weeks of street construction which scared poor little Picasso every day and night . You cannot imagine the noise we endured, including mudslides that sounded like people jumping into a raging river. Then we had an earthquake, a 5.9 not too far from where I am (but far enough!). As you can imagine, living here is a completely different experience now that I've got my buddy with me. So my first answer is that it has been a lot of work!

Now, the other answer is that it is really a beautiful country with even more beautiful people. There are many things to like. If only it would stop raining. They say rainy season will be transitioning out this month! I can only hope so.
