Jasper joined us three weeks ago today. I bought the Richell Paw Trax Mesh Training Tray and am very happy with it. I kept the mesh grate off of it the first week since he was used to using pee pads. I put the mesh grate on after nine days and he had no trouble using it. It does keep his paws dry and is very easy on his feet. I pick up poop with toilet paper then use a wet wipe to clean off the mesh. No smell. Easy to replace the pads. The All-Absorb 120 Count Training Pad, 17.5 by 23.5-Inch, White and Blue fit perfectly a just under $20.

I am using the Piddle Place with Nico and am very happy with it. He has been doing very well with going outside though so the Piddle Place is just there for back up.

I will also add that Jasper loves to go outside, and is even asking to go out several times a day. He prefers to potty outside, But he pees so often that without the pee pad we might as well live outside! That would be pretty uncomfortable since we are getting down to 28 below with a high in the 20s at the peak of the day. Even going out six times a day, he uses the pee pad a good 16 more times throughout the day. But he's doing reakly well for being just 11 weeks old.

Yes, young puppies pee a lot! And having an indoor option is a godsend!!!

Jasper looks a lot like my Nico. He also strongly prefers to potty outside. Hes had every kind of weather since coming home a week ago from snow, to sunny and 70 degrees and now back to cold and rainy. So far not one accident in the house! He has gone on his piddle place exactly twice and ran right to it and resumed playing. His breeder said he was the first to use the piddle place and seemed to always use it. I want to kiss her for raising such an easy puppy lol.

You're right. Jasper and Nico do look a lot alike. Jasper has been such a kick these last three weeks.
