Training Course Suggestion!

Hello Everyone!!
My little pup is now almost 7 months old and is pretty well trained, but it wasn't always that way! I found a FREE training course online with Zac George. The class was really amazing and actually did wonders for me and Sunny. They even has a facebook support group to join. It's sponsored my Pupford dog food, which is how it's free.
Anyway, I promise I don't work for them or anything, I just wanted to share the love! I thought it was a great course and I thought I'd pass it along to you other puppy parents. I hope you enjoy it!

I haven't seen the course, but Zak is certainly a positive trainer! One thing people should be aware of with an online course like this is that it is NOT a substitute for getting your pup out and about. You STILL have to make SURE you do that part.

I have taken a number of online courses too, though not this one, and not free. I've taken a couple of good ones with Susan Garret (Agility) and many with Fenzi Dog Sports Academy. (which really covers many life skills as well as dog sports!) The nice thing about the FDSA ones is that they are online, but they are "live" in that if you take the class at "gold" level" you send in videos of your work, so the instructor can help you fix things that may not be going exactly right. It's a great model.

Hello again, my 7 month old Havanese pup, Chica, has always peed a lot. She's trained to go both outside and inside (on cloth peed pad) because I live in a 2nd floor condo in Colorado and sometimes she can't wait until I get geared up for the cold weather before she pees. She's also CRAZY with energy so after testing her for an UTI (negative) my Vet prescribed Trazadone to calm her down. I've also been crate training her but she pees and sometimes poops in there, which I thought they didn't do! In my opinion for a 12 lb. little dog she drinks an excessive amount of water, noted by the Vet as Polydipsia and Pollakiuria (peeing a lot). Since her urine sample was negative for UTI does someone with more experience with Havanese pups recommend I have the vet do blood tests to see if she has kidney issues? Please help, I'm so concerned since I thought these issues would resolve as she grew. thanks so much, Cristina
