Playpen, ExPen and DoggieLawn

I tried a playpen for Pico, about 4' wide; he was happy in there if he could see me, but barked nonstop if I left his sight and it was too small to add any area to relieve himself when I left the house.

I recently gated a small hallway off the living room where he can see the kitchen and living room and this is working well both when I'm home and when I leave the house. It's large enough for the DoggieLawn grass patch and he took right to using it.

The playpen was too small for the 24" x 20" DoggieLawn. I need the larger DoggieLawn since he walks around as he poops...

I'm really thrilled at how well this is working for us

Great idea! I did a similar set but with an ex-pen that opened into a kitchen-family area, where Patti could roam in and out and see us when confined. Looks like real grass. I started with Grass Turf and hated it after a very short period, because it smelled. Pico and those white paws is precious.

I thought the DoggieLawn is live grass, is it artificial? I thought live grass doesnít smell as bad as artificial grass. I considered live grass but it requires a subscription or the maintenance of picking up turf all of the time and I knew I wouldnít follow through.

I just think the little indoor patch of grass is so cute, which is why I looked into it before settling on the pine pellets/tray. Iíve wanted to plant a wheatgrass table centerpiece for spring/Easter for years but I never think of it early enough. Maybe this is the year!
