And now it starts!

Our trio were all doing so well potty training, pixie & marley still are but Jasper now decides that he is going to wake us up at 3am and then again at around 5 or 6am, sometimes there are toiletries, sometimes not and we don't know from which one, but this sets Jasper off, whine...whine...whine...whine...howl...howl. We have tried keeping them outside until they do their business before we go to bed (usually around 11pm), jasper is always the one who may wee but will not poo and he waits by the door until we let him in, i made him wait for half an hour last time (on top of the 20mins the others were out with him and did their business) but he wont go do anything.
The whining around 5-6am is usually when there is no mess but he wants attention, we have tried leaving him to see if he stops but he doesn't (and i think its starting to annoy the neighbours) the longest we left it before going to see him was an hour (is that too short or too long?) Has anyone any ideas on how to stop this it's not something we've had to deal with before.
They sleep downstairs, i can't allow them into our room at night and the landing area is too small to fit a crate or dog bed. They do have pee pads which they use ok but we make them go out as much as we can. A full night's sleep would be very welcome right now :-)

Oh come on now! OK, here's what we did when Yogi took a stand against her kennel. She came into the bed with Mommy and Daddy! Ha Ha Ha! And also, she gets us up almost every night, in the middle of the night, to go potty or poop. I know...I can't believe it myself. Should be real interesting to see what happens when the new puppy comes. I have NO idea how things will work then!!!

How old are they? Do they sleep together? Do you free feed and how late do they eat in the day? Sorry but I'm not sure how to help at this time. Hopefully someone with some experience will weigh in. My boys go to bed around 11 pm and don't go out until 6 to 7 am.

Trudy, mom to Einstein,Watson and Griffin too!

Lol you guys are so funny.
They still get fed three times day we will be cutting it down to two in the next few weeks, they are fed at 8am, 1pm and 5.30pm. They are 5 Months old. It was a little better last night I was up at 4.20 am but that's because jasper was being sick then he didn't wake us until just after 7am, he is ok now.

Boy, I don't know. Sick is one thing but getting up that many times otherwise seems a stretch for me. I might just bite the bullet a few nights in a row and let them work it out on their own. Might be more morning clean-up for a while but worth a try.
