Hi Sally, that looks like a clever design--- I tried something like it-- a tray with a grid (no grass though) when Jasper was young- I found it to be a pain to clean and if the stools weren't hard it was a disaster. Our boys do have a potty room--- and what we found works best for us is two 24 X 36" inch trays lined with pee pads (you could use newspaper- but I prefer the pads) --- They hardly ever use it anymore and prefer to wait to go out-- but occassionally they both surprise us and still go out to their room.

here's where I got the trays- and the pads I use that I love

Kara-That is the exact reason I was interested in it. I think it looks better in an office situation. I think the "grass" looks better for an office dog!

of course, the only problem with this system is the occaisional pee pad shreddage!!! LOL Usually happens when it has been raining and they have not been able to run in the yard ---So I spray the pads with bitter apple which deters them but doesn't stop them.

I was thinking of getting this product called pet-a-potty when i 1st got my dogs, which uses real or fake grass. But i use Secondnature litter which works great. I think i didnt get it because of the price but it looks like a ingenius design.

I agree but this is for an office deck and I don't think the name on it looks good in an office. I wanted something that doesn't look like a liitterbox in the office.

Sally,
I use yester-news, it is a cat litter made of recycled newspaper. The worst part of it is that it does get tangled up in their hair sometimes. My pup also housebroke himself. He would rather hold it and go outside.

Purina also makes a dog litter. Why would you use a cat litter?
