Charley had a check up today

Charley had his check up today. He got two shots & cried so bad :-( Broke my heart. Surprisingly, he is STILL off the walls with puppy energy. The vet said he would be sleepy. I should've known better that Charley would be the exception haha.

Other than that he is super healthy. He gained a pound & a half from his last visit @ the vet! So he is a whopping 3lbs 12oz.

We're signing him up for puppy school soon. I cant wait. He is a pretty good pup tho, I do have to say.
He asks to go potty outside now which is a great accomplishment. Still not totally reliable with asking to pee outside but he no longer poops at all inside :-) Still working on the pee thing tho! But, much improvement so far!

Oh, I hate shots for my babies - wish I could take it for them! How old is Charley Brown now? It sounds like he's moving right along on his potty training!

Yeah, the receptionists @ the vet were like "we heard him all the way out here." haha Poor little guy. He curled up with me right after. But holy moly- my little guy was 10x more psycho than he is on a normal day. They totally lied when they said he would be tuckered out. It was like they gave him shots of adrenaline haha.

Aw, Charlie Brown is SO cute! Funny, how each puppy is different - My baby didn't cry at all with his second round of shots (the first set of shots I was there with him for) a week and a half ago, but he was also apparently totally in love with the vet (whom he just met for the first time lol), and I was feeding him treats while the shot went in... only one shot, I don't know how he would have done with two lol! Apparently Charlie Brown is the opposite in Cey in potty training as well... Cey pretty much always asks to go outside to pee now, but he still seems to think that it is ok to poop inside even though we've been just as vigilant about the training for pooing as for peeing... sigh.

Anyway, even though Charlie Brown cried, it sounds like the vet visit wasn't too bad! When do your puppy classes start?

Well, I found (by high recommendation) a trainer, however, the puppy training is one on one, rathe than in class setting. This lady believes that individual training is best because no two dogs are alike. Its a very hands on approach. To my knowledge you can sign up for puppy classes where its just strictly socialization. So, I am waiting for my call back. There is a waiting list just to get signed up! Thats how popular and great they are in my area. She is known as the dog whisperer. So, I think thats what we're going to do.

The trainer sounds great! I thought about that too....training one on one an then going into a basic obedience class for socialization and to keep them focused on doing the commands in a group setting....I haven't found anyone I like much around here though so I've been training on my own....

Funny about the shots...Smokey cries and hollers over everything.....Sissy takes it like a champ......when I took Sissy to the vet the other night she was the one getting stuck and poked everywhere and didn't say a word and Smokey was pitching a fit......

Aww, I'm glad Charley is feeling better and doing well! Eva had her boosters today too. Amazingly the shots don't seem to bother her. She just kind of looks around like, "Huh what?" and goes back to wagging that tail of her. Now if only my cats were half that good while at the vet
