First Haircut

Coco is 4 months old and was wondering about the hair around his eyes. Sometimes I don't think he can see. Should it be cut? I thought I read somewhere that the hair protects their eyes. Any suggestions will be apprieciated.

We would need photos to really make a decision. Welcome to the forum!

Many people cut bangs to keep their hair out of their eyes. I put a topknot in Abby's hair but she has a little that falls down but she can still see. They do say that back in Cuba that the hair was to protect their eyes from the hot sun.

Don't believe Linda , she always wants pictures. But it would help.

Whether they should have hair over their eyes is debatable. I don't like it when they can't see properly. It's dangerous.Molly would bang into things when her top knot wasn't in. Besides, it's important for other dogs to be able to see their eyes to read her communication . Besides they look pretty.

I try to keep the hair out of Yogi's eyes, he never likes it and uses his paws to put it back over his eyes, it makes us laugh.
