Stuck in the airport...

So I would love to report that picking up the puppy was a breeze and that the two of us are safe and sound at home, but I can't. The two of us are stuck in the airport for goodness knows how long. At the very least another hour though we have already been here for four and a half hours now.

Luckily I have unlimited internet service on my phone or else I would be bored out of my mind. The puppy (no name revealed until I can post some pictures - sorry!) is currently asleep and has been for the last hour or two. Hopefully he will stay that way. He is a bundle of love, though, with lots of personality and energy! I know he will be a handful.

I do have a question for all you knowledgeable hav owners... what do I do about food? I haven't fed him today, though I did give him a tiny bit of water about an hour ago and I'm guessing that he won't pee as long as I don't give him lots of water. What would be the max amount of time I can leave him without eating? I think he will be fine until dinner time, but since he is my first puppy, I'm not 100% certain.

Oh what a terrible way to start!!

Hopefully he won't be all Hav'ready for party once you are on the plane!!

I can imagine he'll be hungry when waking up......

He might not be hungry, because of all the changes he is going thru today. I am sure if he is hungry when you get home, you can give him something to eat. If you don't he might be a cranky puppy all night.

It is no wonder you are delayed. We are having some monstrous storms here...much thunder and amazing lightening. Get home safe!

Carolina I am so sorry you are stuck in the airport But at least you have your handsome traveling companion with you!!!!!!

I am not sure on the whole feeding issue, as I never traveled with a puppy, but I think as long as he is getting water he should be fine until tonight.

Wishing you a speedy trip home, can't wait for the photos!

I don't think I would feed him till you got home.If he really acts hungry, then a little bit but not much.A little in can mean a disaster up in the airI would let him have water, but take him out for a pee break before you take off.Sorry to hear about the delays. We are waiting for cute pix and a name after you arrive safely home!

My Quince flew too---no food and he was fine!
