Question Does the weather affect your pup?

Here in NY today the weather is oh so muggy and humid. You know, the kind of day where you just want to sleep all day and do nothing productive,LOL!
Well Duncan has been lounging around and not wanting to play, just eat!!!
I was wondering if anyone else's pup reacts the same way????

Hi Dot, I am in NJ and have the same rotton weather as you. My guys do seem to be bothered by it somewhat. I dont let them stay out too long, and then they do mope around a little. My girls actually lose their desire for food, but thats OK cause Logan is always happy to make up for it!!

Dreamer loves the heat. But my other 2 both hate it. They just want to go outside to do their business then run right back in. If they have to be out in the heat for any length of time, then they come in & sleep for 3 or more hours.
Saturday a.m. early was nice & cool. The dogs were running outisde playing for almost 2 hours. I cant wait for fall & winter so they will have more energy!

The weather was so bad this morning, I didn't want to take them to work with me. So I put the A/C on and left them home. When I got back, they went out back, but just long enough to pee, then ran back in. They ate lunch, because they skipped breakfast, and then ran around the house for about a half hour. Now they are sleeping again.

I nitice when it is hot and humid like today, they want to stay indoors and they won't eat as much.

Dot, Kubrick doesn't seem to be affected by the heat at all - I'm actually very surprised because our AC just broke and it won't be fixed until at the very earliest Friday. I am so sweaty and hot and yet Kubrick just had a RLH about 5 minutes ago... I wish I could be that energetic!

He does seem to just lie on the floor for a long time between plays/RLHs though, so I guess it does get to him from time to time.

My guys will still do the RLH game even when it is hot but Like Kubrick, they calm down and their favorite summer spot is on the marble floor in our foyer and hallway. It is the coolest spot in the house!

Only if we have excessive heat, which is rare, but even then, they will still run through the house. They just limit their outside runs to a few minimal spurts and then lay under the patio furniture or around the fountain.
