Question Yet another feeding question???

When did you all switch from 3 to 2 meals a day??Duncan is coming up on the 6 month mark which I think is the norm.He was at the vets the other day b/c of an ear infection(bacterial),was put on drops, and I asked the vet about his voracious appetite. He told me I should count my lucky stars since Havs are known for being picky. He said Duncan is not overweight, 10 lbs on the button and we'll see how things progress as far as taken away his lunchtime meal.
Oh,BTW,it looks like he'll be getting fixed next month,so I would like to take this opportunity to let you all know that I will be a basket case when I have to bring him,but the good thing is the girls will be back in school so he'll have some quiet time to recooperate.Wow,sorry got totally off track.Sorry!!!!! from 3 to 2 meals, about what age??????

Dot, I went to 2 meals at exacly 6 months with all of mine. My vet just said to take the amount of food from lunch, and split it between bkfst & dinner. I never had any problems with the switch.
Always remember that when he is in for his surgery, there is always someone her that can talk you thru your day!! It really is hard, but if you keep busy the day goes fast

Same thing with my two. But, it was because they cut down themselves. Shelby always ate 3 meals a day, but Kodi was not a very good eater, even as a little guy. I think they let you know when.

My dogs all decided on their own when to cut back. Even though Piaget is a very good/fast eater, he already cut himself back to two meals a day on a regular basis, so I just put him on the same schedule as the older girls. He is just four months old.

Well we have all either been thru it, or are going to be going thru it, so we all know what that feels like.

Havee went to 2 meals at 4mos old. And lately, he even skips one of those sometimes! I think he is slowing down on his own, and this warm weather doesn't help with his eating either. He doesn't seem as hungry.
