Puppy thinks she's a reindeer

Hi all. Just got Ttruffles 10 days ago. She turned 3 months yesterday. Does anyone know if the energy she's exhibiting will " wear down?" I researched these dogs and they are supposed to be real sweet. I have plenty of chew toys, discipline, play and love on her each day. The good news is she understands "drop it" from playing fetch. She does have calm moments, but when she gets rambunktious, how do I calm her? She's rikache rabbit. And a reindeer on the leash. Please tell me this is just puppyhood. Please please.

Havanese tend to RLH (Run Like Hell), sometimes more than once a day. Some stop after puppyhood, but others continue into adulthood. It's a lot of fun to watch, especially when you have more than one RLH'ing.

Ah, yes, they do calm down - I keep telling myself - although Finn is 10 months and hasn't slowed down a lot yet. Augie is 3 and he is considerably more calm than he was as a puppy. Do you have access to puppy classes? You might check into them if there are some available. I found them very helpful, as well as continued obedience classes. They are like humans in that they all seem to be different, with some requiring more activity/exercise to tire them out.

Sounds like my Rango, I was not prepared as Sasha was not that "wild & crazy" although she has always done the RLH and I encourage it. Now I have two doing it.
