Tips on increasing our pack

Okay, now that we have decided to add a12 week old Hav to our current dog pack of one, a 7 month old Hav, do you have any tips on how to do it? Any web sites or articles to read? I don't want either of them to be jealous or feel left out. Do I feed them together? Can I keep them in the same play yard (inside housing) while we're away from the house?

Kodi was 11 mos when we addedShelby to the crew. We had to go pick Shelby up, so we brought Kodi along, 3 hrs away. We decided to stay at a pet friendly hotel overnight. Shelby arrived a little carsick, but quickly took over. We had some toys with us, and she took them away from Kodi. Kodi just hid behind me.

I decided to leave the room (the pups stayed with DH) and when I got back about an hour later, the two of them were playing like old friends. I think meeting on neutral territory helped, too. We've been very lucky and have never had a problem with their behavior towards each other.

Potty training wasn't too bad, because Kodi was almost completely trained by then. Like I said, we've been very lucky.

That is so exciting. It is fun to watch them play. The hardest part for me has been the house training. And mine were so close in age they both blew their coats at the same time. That was hard because I was the groomer. I'm happy they have each other because I'm going to have to work full time in the near future so hopefully they can keep each other company.
I hand feed the puppy when she first came home then I separated them for eating for a bit so I could make sure the youngest was eating. Now the bowls are together and they bounce from one to the other. Maddie never liked chew sticks and would hide them. When Zoey arrived she found all of Maddies hiding places I thought that was cute. Oh and Maddie started liking her chews after that. I have a drawer full of unmatched socks the little stinkers love my socks!
