aaahh poor guy. I would just let him chill as much as possible. Messages are always nice. That's what mommies are for right?

I would suggest getting him out of that cone and into a onesie, so he can be comfortable in any position he wants and can drink easily. Keeping them quiet is the hardest part. He'll most likely be up and wanting to play by tomorrow. Good luck!

Poor guy! Rollie cried the first day, but seemed nearly his normal self the next day. He did not like his cone, but he was funny to watch in it. I'm sure he'll be feeling better really soon!

I would switch to a onesie just like lanabanana said, if and when you can - it is much more comfortable for them. Cey hasn't been snipped but he did has a mild skin infection at one point and we had to put ointment on his belly/private area that he wasn't supposed to lick off, so we used onesies. I don't know what other people's experiences have been with using onesies but we had to cut them a bit to make them fit him under the legs, and we actually found that putting them upside-down on him (with the belly snaps on his back) worked a lot better than the other way (we still had to cut a hole for his tail and cut them them a bit under his front arms to make them fit comfortably, but they fit better under his backside than the other way). The only downsides are of course that you can't leave him for any period of time in them if he has to go to the bathroom, and, if his hair is long, it will get matted pretty quickly under the onesie.

From what I hear, the worst part will be making him stay calm and quiet for as long as he needs to heal, since they tend to want to start running and jumping almost the day after...

Hope he feels better and is back to his old self, and is healed all up, soon

Hope little Miller heals quickly and is feeling better soon! I used onesies too with Augie - you just want to be sure and get them long enough. Measure their back and then the length of the onesie. Had to get much larger size than I thought. OR, some have used 'big boy' pants, little boys' underwear, and put it on backward, so that the slit is where the tail can go through. The big boy pants should cause less matting than the onesies. I didn't even think of using them when Augie had his neuter. Augie was taken out to potty on a schedule, so we just took his onesie off when we took him out.

Yes hope Miller is feeling much better now! Rex is scheduled for the 23rd of Feb. for his neutering - great idea about the onesie and big boy pants, think I'll try the big boy pants! Now to figure out what size....
