Timmy Therapy

I hosted a heated meeting at my house last night for about 20 people. I was planning on putting Timmy in his crate for the meeting but one of the attendees insisted on holding him. Timmy was then passed from person to person for the duration of the two hour meeting (with a quick potty break), he seemed to be a calming factor. I remember when my kids were little, and in preschool, they had a sharing stick which was passed around and gave the kids an opportunity to speak while they were holding it, I guess Timmy was the sharing puppy. He was in his glory, loved everyone, and I was told to keep my eye on him when the meeting ended because someone might walk off with him! He has quite a few fans now. The meeting adjourned at about 10:00 and Timmy promptly put himself to bed in his crate, he was exhausted. I was very proud of my little guy.

One puppy for 20 people? Nope, "you are going to need another Timmy!"

sorry... That quote just sprung into my brain. :P

It sounds as if the sharing puppy did a great job.

Pam

Great story. In our puppy class there was a similar exercise called Pass the Puppy. Timmy would have been a star in that class. Also what you did was really, really, good for Timmy's socialization. A Win-Win!

Aw, I love it! The "sharing puppy," what a great concept! He must have loved every minute of it.

I didn't even plan on doing it, but you're right! He love people, dogs not so much. He's mostly scared of them. He has some neighborhood buddies that stop on their walks to say hi. Once Timmy has all his shots he'll be joining the dog walking pack.
