Why did I want two?

What a week! We brought Charlie home last Sunday to join our sweet little Lucy. Charlie was born 10/9/2011 and Lucy was born 6/26/2011. Here's a picture of each, Charlie first.

A puppy will keep you busy for sure! So glad, you are exhausted! It does get easier about a year from now!

Are you having your WTF time? We all go through it when we add a member to the troop, but much like childbirth, we tend to forget the pain as they claim our hearts.

I know you tried to warn me. On top of a new puppy in the house, Lucy was spayed on thurs. I feel I've had one of them, sometimes both, tied to me nonstop for ever. DH birthday tomorrow and ive got to get food for super bowl/birthday party tomorrow. I'll post later and include pics.

I'm complaining right now but I'm happy we have Charlie. Its just been crazy.

I had that after I brought Baxter home. I have to say, it may be a bit more severe with Havs, because they NEVER leave your side! I was like being a nursing mother again.

Pictures of this last week

1) On our three-hour car ride to pick up Charlie, Lucy woke up and asked, "are we there yet?" When i turned around to tell her that we were almost there, she looked so cute that i had to take this picture.

2) This is Charlie on his way home, sitting on my husband's lap. He rode very well, not one problem at all.

3) After having Lucy a couple of months and struggling with putting a topknot in her hair every morning, I cut her "visor" so I could see her eyes. I have NEVER regretted it. This is Charlie after we trimmed his eyes a little when we got home.

4) This is me and my two furbabies on the way home. Lucy is on the left and Charlie is on the right. This is an armfull of lovin.

5) Charlie at the doctor's office the next day. He weighed 8.7 lbs. (14 weeks old). Later that afternoon Lucy went to the doctor's office and she weighed 8.5 lbs. and she's just over seven months old.

I don't have any pictures of them playing yet. At first Lucy was curious and would pounce at him only to run away really fast. She would have fun until he trapped her and then she'd panic and we'd have to rescue her. She doesn't play with ther toys anymore because she's not brave enough to take them away from Charlie, she just gives them up when he comes near.

1) Lucy got spayed on Thursday. Wow! I have been trapped with her on top of me or beside me for the last 48+ hours. She's acting very strange, almost crazy at times. She'll be quiet and sleeping and all of the sudden she jumps and her breathing kicks into high gear and she acts like she's trying to get away from something. It's sort of scary. We took her to the dr. today and she thought she was fine. She's on two types of pain meds. I sure hope she gets better soon. Here is a picture of her in her pink onsie with her long hair hanging down her back.

2 and 3) Another shot of her in her onesie. I didn't know what size to get so I got a 12-month size, it fits her perfectly (baggy but just what she needed).

3) Her sleeping on the pillows.

Thanks again for all your support and your cyber-friendships.

Awww, I hope Lucy feels better soon, usually takes several days. I wonder if the pain meds are giving her bad dreams. That happened to me, so scary I stopped taking them.

Charlie is so, so handsome and puppy adorable. He looks like he's gonna be full of mischief. Love all the great pics!

We've raised two pups together at the same time, about 10 years. It must have been traumatic, because I don't remember much of it, lol! Must have blocked out all the bad parts, because all I remember is how darn cute they were. And how good they smelled!
