We we had a pretty good night. I put her crate next to my bed and put her in around 10:30. The room was dark, but I had the tv on for awhile. She whimpered minute or two and then settled in. She did whimper a couple of times every 2 hours or so, so I did not get much sleep, but went right back to sleep. At 6 I took her out although she did not ask to go, but I wanted her to be successful. I put her back in the crate again she whimpered a bit and barked twice but settled back down and got her up for the day at 7:00. Even though I did not get much sleep I think it was a good night.

Now I feel like I am on perpetual potty patrol. She has done pretty good, although I have pads out, she has not used them and peed twice on throw rugs. I feel like I probably taking her out too much.

She is just so cute and loves to give kisses. The funniest to see my husband lying on the floor while she climbs all over him and kisses him making him giggle.

For those who asked--- she is chocolate and white. I would probably call her eyes hazel or greenish hazel. She will be 11 weeks tomorrow.
And we are all totally in love!

Sounds like a great night. The wimpering probably happens each time Dilly wakes up to turn over. But overall, it sounds pretty good for a first night.

Because we use pee pads, we had to pick up all throw rugs in the house. Kodi didn't use them, Shelby did. She is still being trained. Most days she does really well and then she has a brain freeze. But she is doing much, much better now.

Kim, sounds like a good night. The fact that she can settle herself is excellent and she--and you-- should sleep more soundly as she gets familiar and comfortable. Re the pee pads, def. remove all throw rugs, they don't seem to know the difference! And purchase some pet scent remover at the pet store so that whenever she has a mishap, you can remove the scent at once so she won't return to the same spot to relieve herself again. If you're persistent, she should get the hang of the pee pads soon---she's at a good age for that. Enjoy all those puppy kisses, she is adorable.
