How many times does your puppy eat?

Benny is 12 weeks and eats 3 times a day - when can I go down to twice?

I still offer my dog who is 16 months old 2 meals, one in the morning which she sometimes eats, and one at night with little bits of whatever protein we are having - she loves chicken breast, ground beef (that hasn't been used for taco meat), and also salmon. Unless she starts to refuse eating in the morning I will continue to offer it as she is a light, picky eater.

Joey ate three times a day until he was 4 months old. Now he is 6 1/2 months and he eats twice a day, which is what my vet recommended. He will most likely eat two times a day for the rest of his life. He is on the small side, and really cannot eat enough to sustain himself for the entire day during just one meal.

I've fed Jasmine twice a day since I got her at 3 months old. She's six months old and I will continue to feed her twice a day for as long as she wants to eat twice a day. She almost always leaves food in her dish at both meals.

I have fed Tillie twice a day since we brought her home, she is also very small and will probably always eat 2 meals a day.

Six months should be good.

My Scotty always ate twice a day. I find small dogs need their daily amount divided into 2 meals for life once they are over their first 4-5 months depending on how small they still are

Brody still eats 2-3 times a day. He's reluctant to give up that middle meal. Some weeks he pretty much doesn't want it, but other weeks he wolfs it down. Since he isn't fat I still give him the option. Very occasionally he doesn't eat in the evening, but that's usually because he's being an idiot trying to wait me out for MY dinner (which never happens) that he ignores his too long and I pick it up and he loses out. Brody is 15 months. I was expecting him to start not wanting the middle meal any time after I got him and it just didn't happen. He seems to be an anomaly with this.
