My Mom's Puppy!

My mom is picking up her Beardie puppy tomorrow. I have to go with her.

She has always wanted a Bearded Collie. Here is a pic which the breeder sent at six weeks. Too cute!!

So cute, I had thought about one but decided they were too large for us. We have found that having smaller ones we can take them along more and have more of them. One of my friends is from Scotland and this is the first time in her life that they do not have one. I am told they make great agility dogs.

Robbie, Boo Boo, Yogi, and Misty's human.
Poohkey miss you, monkey.

Adorable! I love Beardies, though they have a bit too much energy for me personally! i trial with a gal with a lovely Beardie, and she does a beautiful job with her. But she was 7 before she started to settle down and things started to come together for them.

Like giant parti-Havanese, except without the tail arched over the back and the hair isn't so silky.

Yeah, that's close.<g> The one I trial with is an Irish Pied though. She must be a chocolate, because her colored parts are a sort of cocoa color, and she has a brown nose and light-ish eyes.

they are very hairy. Sort of a Border Collie crossed with an Old English Sheepdog. Hairy.

A bit of a snafu going on - we were just about to drive onto the Long Island ferry when the breeder called and canceled. Her hubby was having chest pains and they were heading for the hospital. The last we heard he was okay.

I know that the breeder is distracted/worried/scared but now we are in limbo. Mom drove 5 hours to my place, we drove another 2 hours before being turned back. She is trying to figure how if she should just go home or if we could do a quick exchange. If she can't, that means that Mom would have driven over 15 hours, paid for the ferry but not get the puppy.

She doesn't want to have to repeat the whole trip again.

sigh.... I wish the breeder would just call us.

TTFN,
Pam

Oh, what a disappointment. But I think you have to let the breeder sort out her husband's health situation first... that's scary!
