Puppy crate questions

We will bring our puppy home in mid-August, and I am starting my shopping frenzy by researching crates. I am looking at a "Midwest" brand, 24x18x19, with two doors that open out like "regular" doors (one door on each of two sides of the crate). It comes with a divider so we can make it nice and cozy for him while he is small -- and potty training.

The crate says it is made for dogs 11-20 pounds, so that seems right. Am I missing anything? Is there a different brand/style you prefer? I recently stopped in to our local Pet Pros store, and they recommended a crate with a door that opens up, like a garage door. Is that better because it's up and out of the way?

I appreciate any help you can provide!
Ellen

I also used that Midwest crate with my first pup. I liked the two doors and they are well made. They are well priced for what they are. Good luck!!

I also have that same size Midwest for each dog. Very happy with it. When I was in the market for a second crate I did consider a door that pulled up (less of a tripping hazard!) but went for what I know and what matched.
