How to keep dog out of puppy's food?

Ack, I just realized this may be a problem. Cey has a sensitive tummy and I do NOT want to spend my first few days with the puppy giving Cey constant butt baths! Any ideas??

You could put the puppy's food in an ex-pen and keep the door closed while the puppy is feeding.

This was my thought as well. Feed the puppy in a separate area (IE ex pen setup).

Last week on one of the morning shows they had a segment on best new pet products. One was a bowl with a sensor that will only open the lid when the right pet approaches. There is a sensor is on the pets id tag and when they approach "their" bowl the lid slides open. It was super cool. I can't remember the name of the company but I'm sure you can find it on google (I think it was on the Today show)

I found it:

WonderBowl Selective Feeder
If your dog secretly snacks on your cat's kibble every time you try to give her a meal, new technology from Our Pet's may be a solution for your dinnertime dilemma. With the WonderBowl Selective Feeder, a unique tag on each pet's collar signals for the lid on their dish to open. The infrared sensors keep animals in multi-pet homes from eating out of one another's dishes

Haha, thanks, I don't think I need to get that fancy!

I don't have an expen, just a kitchen and baby gates. And crates. I guess I'll find a way to make it work!

Crate the puppy at meal times. It's a great way to make the baby learn to love his crate, and keep the two separate at the same time.
