12 week vaccinations

Piper did great. I really like the vet and the vet assistant was so awesome with the kids and took them for a tour of the office so they wouldn't get bored. Was hoping the vaccinations might make Piper a bit sleepy (one can hope, right??) but no such luck. She's very excited to be home and she's running circles in the living room chasing her toys. I, on the other hand, am exhausted and would rather nap. lol

I'm glad the shots didn't bother her at all and hope you were able to get a nap (or at least an early bedtime) eventually

I was lucky with Tim too, no problems with shots. I know I'm due for round two coming up, at least rabies, but I have decided to do titer testing beforehand to make sure he really needs the other boosters. Titers might cost more in the end run but I've read everywhere that we are over vaccinating our so I'd rather play it safe then sorry. Timmy wasn't tired at all when he got his initial shots. My cats on the other hand sleep for a long time afterwards.

Piper has been sleeping from about 10pm right through to 7am lately. Such a blessing!!

The breeder we got Piper from said she doesn't recommend vaccinating after the 1 year shots. She sent me with a bit of information but I haven't had a chance to fully look it over yet. I will have to do my own research and discuss it with my vet as well. He seems to be more interested in the animal than the profit, which is always a plus!
