Leo at 6 months

Leo turned 6 months old yesterday. I bathed him this morning and used the distilled water and conditioner suggestion. Also a few sprays of CC Precious Drops. He is fabulously soft. I haven't trimmed anything except his feet since I got him. I get tempted sometimes but am curious to see how long from baby puppy it takes his facial hair to grow long enough to fall to the sides of his muzzle. Sometimes I put his hair in a topknot but often leave it natural. I rather like the messy look on the little fellow.

Agree, the messy look looks cute on Leo and it also looks very, very soft. He is such a cute little guy.

Thanks all! Leo is a real sweetheart. He went with us to lunch today at one of our favorite lunch places where we can dine outdoors. We met a mom and 2 kids who were Havanese owners. They have a 1year old black and white Hav girl. We've met a few other Hav owners but none of them ever seem to have their Havs with them. Leo enjoyed the attention they showered on him as usual. We have made an intentional effort to take him with us frequently so that he will learn to behave appropriately and will be welcome in most settings.

He even went in the hair salon today when I picked up DH after his hair cut. The stylist who does our hair really likes Leo and we always joke about him having an appointment to get his hair done.

Here's another picture of him after his bath this morning.

I'm going to try it this weekend. I can tell the blowing coat stage is near with my hav.

It will be interesting to find out if this extra conditioning helps through the coat blowing stage. Keep us updated as there are several of us with puppies just a few months away from the dreaded coat blowing!
