Puppy teeth all gone!

Leo is 27.5 weeks and the last of his puppy teeth came out today. The last two puppy teeth, his upper canines, were seemingly still solidly in place after his other puppy teeth had all come out. All of his adult teeth including his adult upper canine teeth were in place. I typically have neutered or spayed all prior dogs at 6 months, however, following the discussion on this forum have decided to wait longer to neuter Leo. If I had followed my usual practice of neutering at 6 months I would have had the upper canine baby teeth removed at the same time since they seemed solidly in place and the adult canines had come in. Here we are a week and a half later and those two final puppy teeth have come out on their own without medical intervention. Leo's bite is a beautiful scissor bite. Waiting this extra bit of time did not cause the bite to go off nor did it cause any issue with the adult canines. I have been brushing his teeth daily since his adult teeth began coming in. He loves his Kissable toothpaste so is very cooperative with getting his teeth brushed. I love this forum for all the helpful discussion that takes place? Thank you!

That's really reassuring; I was worrying because Cuba's two adult top canines have come through and the baby ones are still there; the bottom two came out this week (I managed to find one of them, it is SO tiny!!) Kay, my trainer, said to keep an eye on it because it could be a problem if the puppy teeth don't fall out of their own accord. I'll give it longer, based on your experience, Pucks 104, before I worry any more. Cuba is coming up to 25 weeks. How long did it take with Leo after the upper canines had come through for the baby ones to go?

I'm not realty certain but I think about 3 weeks give or take a couple days. I really thought we would end up having to have the baby upper canines removed because I kept checking and both seemed solidly imbedded. It was from Friday when they were solidly in place to Sunday or Monday when they were both gone. It really surprised and pleased me.

Thanks so much for all the advice; I'll hang in there (like the baby teeth) and hope they disappear before my nerve does!

All a bit late in the day but if anyone's interested (duh - can't believe anyone actually would be, but hey!) Cuba, who is 28 weeks now, has lost all the baby teeth. The baby cuspids (eye teeth - seems odd in a dog to call then 'canines', presumably all teeth are canine teeth??!) finally fell out, so no problems. They stayed around for several weeks alongside the new ones and looked pretty sore around the gum line, but anyway, another baby milestone passed...
