Poop Roller

Help! Twice since I have had Toby, my Havanese puppy. My six year old Shih Tzu Lily rolls in his poop on the wee wee pads. Lily is housebroken. Why would she do this? She was raised around other dogs and never did this before. Any suggestions?

Dogs are just so clever aren't they? Actually there's something in the poop that your Lily wants to use to cover up her own scent. I had one who once rolled in a rotting dead animal. Thought I would until I could get it washed off. You may need to clean up the poop as soon as it hits the pad.

My little guy seems to be picky as to which poop to roll in. Just the other day on our walk... no urge to roll until we reached one lawn and he started putting his shoulder down to start rolling! I stopped him just in time.... on our way back home (passing many poops -- why don't people pick it up!?) he wanted to roll in the SAME one! Odd little creatures, but I love them!

I've seen Gucci try to roll in Rabbit poop, never another dogs though. I think they try to disguise their 'scent' when they do this.

Pretty gross, though. lol I'm not sure what to tell you to break that habit!

I don't have suggestions but I feel your pain. My dogs like to roll around on anything and everything! I just try to run away =)

PS When I originally read 'poop roller' I thought the thread was actually about a poop roller like a lint roller. LOL. Cuz I could use one since my babies get poo butt from time to time.

Yep, they don't like what they smell like! Isabelle is notorious for doing this. Dora will do it with her sometimes especially when we are at the park. Dead frog was on belle's back once!

I guess I'm lucky as I've never had Quincy do this. Yes,I'm knocking on wood!!!

When I saw poop roller I was hoping there was something new to get the poop out of my yard---like a giant roller that scoop it up!

That's exactly what I was thinking. Something that rolled through the yard to pick up poop rather than scooping it. Maybe something like I bought to pick up the sweetgum balls in my yard. Anyone want to invent one? I bet you could make a ton of money!

Lol same here, thought it was some kind of new tool.

Mirabel also loves to roll in dead and dried worms. Worst is when she starts trying to eat them and we have to chase her to make her stop. (She holds on to the worm all the while too lol)
