Mambo's chin bumps=acne?

I had noticed maybe a month ago what I thought was a knot under Mambo's chin. Since the groomer came, I noticed the two knot thingy's again and got curious. I cannot see a whole lot because of the hair, but I know they are not knots, the one I saw looked like a pink bump of sorts.

I read online that these might be pimples or this thing called puppy strangles. He has been more subdued recently, but I remember the bumps being there as much as a month or so ago when I thought it was a mat.

Is this something I take him to the vet for? How would they go about looking under his chin if he won't let them? Even if they were to cut his hair they would have to shave his chin all the way before they see this (he is white with very pink skin), which is less than ideal, would they be able to see it?

First time parents freaking out here. We are glad you guys are around, this forum is quite helpful and we appreciate everyone's inputs and troubles even if we do not post often. We are like the relatives that live overseas, we know everything that is going on (worry and pray all the same) but cannot make the weekly lunch at grandma's.

My cat had acne on his chin and that is what it sounds like. It was a long time ago, but I think some cream fixed it up. But yes, you'll have to go to your vet to get the prescription.
