UGODOG a success!

My husband and I are moving to Toronto within the next year, probably a condo and we needed a solution for pottying. I am used to the weather on Vancouver Island and so are our dogs. I read about the UGODOG on this site and ordered one. We had been using a mix of ringing the bell, using newspapers, crating and cleaning up after Chico. Simone, of course caught on right away and if the weather looks a bit iffy she has decided not to go outside anymore. Chico figured it out today so we are partying!

I may be the Ugodog's hugest fan. I seem to be constantly yacking about it. I do love it. I'm glad it worked for Chico.

We finally had some winter rainy weather here in San Francisco last week. Lola refused to go outside in the pelting rain, so the Wizdog (same concept) has been in heavy use. Love it.

My experience with UGODOG has been a complete failure. I think Heath was not a young enough puppy. He won't go on pee pads or UGO, only outside.

If anyone in the SF Bay Area wants a free 50 buck UGODOG, come pick it up (Mill Valley)--it's yours!

and HEATH-Y, TOO !

I just got one also. Evye had no idea what I wanted her to do on it. With 2 pups, I bought it for the "accident" times if I missed their queue. I just moved it to a different location and Evye has used it a few times so far, Bentley a couple as well. I think given a few more days, they will both catch on and I will be glad I spent the $50.00....cautiously optimistic here.

I found that my only mistake inititally was cleaning it too often. They need the smell of their pee & poo (for Lola - especially her poo) to be on it so that she knew to go there. And of course lots of praise when she did. Once I started cleaning the grates less - it worked like a charm.

You guys are luck, I wanted Bugsy to be indoor/outdoor potty train (when the weather is rainy), but he refused. We tried pee pads when he was little, but he would only shred them. He completely ignored the litter box. He prefers to be just like my big dogs...sigh. Today it's been raining all day and I took him out on the covered patio so he would potty on the cement, without getting wet, no way. He instead preferred to go out on the grass in the pouring rain. I have doggy towels next to each sliding door.
