Sophie's brother is home!

Brodie came home yesterday, and boy, is he a character! He was very good during the 2.5 hour ride. Sophie went with my daughter and me to pick him up. When we got home we took them in the back yard, and Sophie was so excited, I thought she might hurt him. She REALLY loves him and won't leave him alone.
He peed outside immediately and they played for a while. I was sure Brodie would want a little rest. I was wrong. He does not like to sleep and he does not like his ex pen. He wants to be held all the time, maybe to get away from Sophie. But then he wiggles to get down. He leaps up my back steps before I can catch him, and Sophie didn't do stairs til she was 5 months old. And he pees about every five minutes.I was able to catch him in the act twice and get him outside with lots of praise. He has pooped twice, once in his litter box and once outside. He is terrified of my cat, which is a good thing.
My husband is out of town so I was able to put his crate on the bed next to me last night, and he only made one little cry. I took him to go potty but he didn't want to and I put him back in the crate. We got up at 7:30, so he went 9.5 hours without peeing.
It is very much like having a newborn baby. He cries himself to sleep and it's very hard to listen to his pitiful crying because he is so cute. My first goal is to get him used to his ex pen and hope he can't escape. He climbed on top of his crate last night.
This will be quite an adventure!
Uh oh, he just woke up! Here we go!

can you have his crate by your bed? I think it helps them calm down and not be so upset. It also seems like he is very active and be careful he doesn't try to climb out of the x pin. Some use the crate like a steeping stone to get over the x pin. Maddie climbed over at about 3 mo old.

Lol! Many, many years ago, I had a t-shirt with a picture of a dog saying, My name is no, no bad dog! It got lots of laughs and nods from dog owners.

Sounds like Brodie/Rambo has exploded onto the scene! He will liven up your household and energize Sophie's days! If you can get more than a blur, post pics of he and Sophie together!

He is certainly going to keep you hopping! Congratulations and good luck with your new pup. I'm sure Sophie is going to be a great teacher and show him the ropes.
