Question What time does your puppy get up in the am?

Duncan usually gets up around 6am.Oh how I wish he would sleep later. He does go to the bathroom and then we put him back in his crate and sometimes he goes back to sleep for another 1/2 hour or so,but no more than that.I have noticed that he's not sleeping as much during the day,so hopefully we'll be getting a bit more sleep real soon.

Ours all wake up because we do. They hear us moving around or turning on lights. We get up at 4am during the week, but today I slept in until almost 6am and had to wake them from their crates.

My Rudy is a night owl! Just turned 6 months. He gets a 2nd wind about 9:00p.m. and wants to play & play. Of course that's about when I want to start unwinding from the day. We have to wake him up in the morning about 6:30 a.m.

What time does Ducan go to bed? Does he lay around with you the last couple of hours watching TV? We keep Brutus very active until 9 PM--about 5 hours of constant activity. If he goes potty before we go to bed, he'll sleep until we get up (5:30 during the week and 9:00 am on weekends.)

He is like a child--you must find a way to make your schedule his schedule. Good luck!!!!!

Duncan will play hard till around 10pm,then he falls out, wherever,on the couch, floor,my lap,and when one of us is ready to go to bed around 11pm we bring him into our bedroom and put him in his crate.
I think there are 2 factors that are making him wake early.
1.MY upstairs tenants dog wakes around 6am for the day,
and
2. My older daughter has a habit of waking around the same time to go to the bathroom.
So I'm guessing Duncan is hearing all this and thinking if they're up I need to be up.
We can shush him and sometimes get another 1/2 hour but not always!!

Houston gets up a 6 AM most of the time. On the weekends he will sleep until 7 or 7:30 AM if we sleep in. He no longer cries or whines, he just waits patiently for us to let him out. I think it gets better with time.
