Chuy is 7 months today!

Hello from Chuy's household in Washington State. We are currently attending Canine Good Citizen classes and having great success. This dude is such a character already. I'm thoroughly amazed at the all uniqueness in the world of the Havanese breed. A big "Shout Out" to those members who freely give of their time while posting many helpful hints for us newbies!

Jackie, What do you use to keep the hair out of Willow's eyes? I'm struggling with a solution that Chuy doesn't take out.

In the avatar photo on my post, I was using an elastic fabric covered hair band to just tie up a little ponytail at the top of her head. Or she may have just come back from the groomer. The groomer used a tiny rubber band and she would hook a bow to it. I didn't like to use the rubber band as it tangled up more. It held tighter though. I was pretty successful using the elastic fabric covered hair tie. She was good about not trying to get it out. Currently she is in a puppy style cut and I don't need to tie up her hair since it's shorter now.

My Clementina turned 7 mo old on Aug 3rd. She is not biting much now, but still steals everything she can...loves toilet paper and paper towels, loves brooms and my cleaning lady. Loves all people, but not so dogs that jump at her, white/silver hairs are starting to come along her backbone so I guess she will be color changing! A spay is coming up for her. No training available here in English so I am trying to do it on my own. Neither of us speak Spanish. But she is fun, active and charming...so I guess we are doing fine. She loves naps in the ac in the afternoon when it's over 100F here, as I do. Love reading everyone's posts!
