Puppy Ponytail!

Hi,

I like to keep Pixie's hair tied up in ponytail. Her hair is still a bit short and it is a bit difficult for me to tie it up in ponytail. Could you please post a few pics of your puppies with their ponytails, so that I can get some idea and also let me know how you tie it, as it is difficult to make pixie sit at one place without moving.

It IS difficult at first! Just keep at it! It gets easier in time. Here are photos of my girls with their first top knots and "devil's horns"!

You can also try one hair tie a little bit lower, right above the bridge of the nose, and then another elastic with a little bit wider section and the tail of the first ponytail, placed just above the first. I did this for a long time, in the “in between” stage, but I can’t seem to find a picture of it. Maybe I’ll do it that way tomorrow and take a picture then.

Oh my gosh! She's just too adorable!!!! I love her top knot!
My Sophie doesn't like her hair done up she keeps flipping her head around even though I make sure nothing is pulling lol. I just trim around her face so she can see well. But that's not to say she doesn't get a head adornment for photo shoot sometimes LOL.

Hi EvaE1izabeth,

Thanks for the suggestion!! How do you make them sit still while trying to put the elastic :P. Thats the toughest part as Pixie would keep moving her head and not letting me put the elastic. Yesterday it took me more than an hour and multiple tries for one elastic.

Just be gentle but firm and persistent. If you are going to keep her hair long, she HAS to get used to it!
