Well, we learned a few things...

- Indoor soccer facilities have VERY sniffy floors!!!! (Especially when other dogs have peed on them)

- It's SCARY when you are used to having your hair up (so you can see) and all of a sudden, it's down over your eyes and there are lots of barking dogs around.

- Mom may be used to doing obedience and agility, but she's CLUELESS about this conformation ring stuff! ;). We both need lots of practice.

All that said, it was mostly fun... We had MEATBALLS as bait, (which were ALMOST but not quite, as sniffy as the floor) and we won a plush squeaky soccer ball, which is the bees knees! ;)

Yay Panda! That's why these fun matches and run throughs are so important. You are able to learn where you need work (and introduce the dog to things like barking dogs, smelly surfaces, and hands in...strange places) in a low-key environment. It's a weird experience the first time, but her tail wags can assure you she's into it :) She free stacked so nicely for the judge at the end!

I didn't want to wait for the match this evening... It was going to be a LONG time between when Kodi competed and when the match was likely to start. But I brought Panda with me anyway, and she had a ball. She was all over her fascination with the floor, bouncy, up and wagging constantly. So while I wasn't DISpleased with her last night, I was VERY happy with her improvement today!
