I don't think of "bed time cookies" as "training treats". And I CERTAINLY wouldn't make them "high value". They are not something I EVER "fade" for my dogs, the way I would fade any other type of training treats. Because for me, it's just something nice we do at bed-time. ...Like a bed-time story for the kids when they were little! Our 13 1/2 year old Kodi would STILL be disappointed if he didn't get his "bedtime cookie! LOL!
That said, they are NOT fussy about what we hand them!!! I tend to keep Charlee Bears upstairs for bedtime cookies, for the simple reason that my husband NEVER closes treat bags, and those don't go stale! LOL! My guys particularly like the grain free ones, not because they are grain free, but because they are extra-crunchy!!!
Oh, and I do NOT use Charlee Bears as training treats simply because they ARE crunchy and take a long time for the dog to chew and swallow. For training treats, you want something small and soft, that the dog can swallow in a single bite. So for young puppies, that means something VERY small!!!
