Each time I have brought a new pup home, I have made sure it is calm & quiet. I greet the old pup with lots of love, then someone brings in the new puppy. I let them sniff each other & get to know each other a little bit. For the first week or so, I never leave then alone, just in case. Lily (4 yrs) plays pretty rough with Logan (13 weeks) so I always keep an eye on it, although Logan always goes back for more. I set up the pen/crate etc before the pup even comes home so the others a kinda used to the equipment being around. Just always make your older pup first , pet them first, feed them first etc. Although the only problem with that that I had was I had to take the baby out for potty first = as I was not sure if he could hold it. The older ones just sit at the door & watch and wait their turn. It should go fine, mine took to each other with no problems at all!! Good Luck
When we went to pick up Shelby, we took Kodi with us. It was an overnighter, so they had plenty of time to get acquainted. It only took an hour before they were playing like old friends. And it has been that way ever since, probably because Kodi is such a sweet, mellow dog and they are only 11 mos apart. Kodi gets a little jealous whe I am holding Shelby, but the good thing is that they are small and I have two arms - one for each of them
Just keep an eye on them always, but give them their space to explore each other. I'm sure they will be best friends real soon and you will have the best time watching them play.
When I was bringing Dora home, everyone said to have them meet outside your home if possible-neutral ground. So they aren't as likely to protect their home, etc. I took Belle (2 years old) on a walk and ran into my mother in law with Dora the new puppy! After 20 mins of introductions, that puppy followed Belle back to her home and never left <BG>! It did take her some time to decide to accept Dora but it wasn't being mean, rather she ignored Dora for over a month and then became her best friend!
My friend who has Logan's brother, has two havanese ( like I do) They have taken a while to accept "Clark" as well. One is a little mean to him, but he doesnt seem to care, and the other just ignored him for a while. It has now been a month and they are coming around & accepting him with no problems. It might take time, but they will become fast friends!

*** LOL!!! Oh, that is funny! It works though! lol I'll have to remember this if we ever get a second dog.
Good luck, Missy! I'm sure there will be a lot of great advice here from those that already have more than one furbaby - lucky them!!
